International Pyromusical Competition 2010

Since our schedule is free from any appointment yesterday, the group decided to watch the International Pyromusical competition held at manila bay in front of SM Mall of Asia (MOA). SM partnered with an organization to bring to Manila a fireworks competition. This came to be known as the World Pyrolympics competition where a representative from participating countries of the world compete against each other to show off their innovations in the art of fireworks.

It started a few years back and has become an annual event eversince. Last year, however, the organizers of pyrolympics decided to hold the competition at The Fort, Taguig leaving SM behind. We don't really know the reason why pyrolympics broke their partnership with SM but we do know that the event at the Fort never got completed.

Not to be left behind, SM answered back to pyrolympics by organizing a different show but with the same theme. They dubbed the event as Philippine International Pyromusical Competetion. The competition kicked off last February 14, 2010 which is on a sunday. The competetion is scheduled to run for 4 consecutive Sundays. Two countries have been set to perform head to head every week. I've managed to get a schedule of the event as well as ticket price so if your interested to catch it, please see below:
